Winter on a College Campus
If you are one of the many students that go to a school that's in a warm climate all year long, consider yourself lucky. Imagine being on a campus in below freezing temperatures and having to walk across the whole campus to get to your next class. It gets so overwhelmingly cold that you begin to shiver as you walk; it's definitely not a fun experience. So, if anyone geos to college on a chilly campus like I do, or you are considering attending a colder-climate college, here are some things you might want to pack: 1. Thermals- this is a necessity! Pack as many longsleeve thermal shirts and thermal clothing as you possibly can. 2. Heavy socks- you would be surprised how quickly your feet get cold in boots simply by walking on pavement. Bring heavy wool socks if you have them, or thicker cotton socks to layer. 3. An abundance of scarves, gloves, hats, and ear coverings- you really are going to need all of these things! When there is a wind chill that brings forty-degree temperatures down to about 20 degrees, you will appreciate having these with you. 4. A ski mask/face mask- I know it sounds weird, but sometimes it gets so bone-chillingly cold that even your face feels like it's going to freeze! Of course, no one wants to look like the Michelin man by wearing all of these things, but they all will help you brave the winter cold on your campus! So now it's your turn, dear readers! If you have any ideas about other ways to keep warm on campus, drop me a comment! Or if you have any questions or general comments, let me know! I would love to hear from you! -That Chilled University Girl
